At Sherpa Moving & Storage, we understand that one of the most critical questions when planning a move is, “How much will it cost?” To address this concern, we’ve created a moving pricing guide to provide you with a clear understanding of potential moving costs. We recognize that every move is unique, with its own set of requirements and challenges. Therefore, our pricing guide is structured to offer ranges rather than fixed rates, acknowledging the diversity in the size and complexity of each move. Whether you’re relocating from a cozy studio apartment or transitioning from a spacious family home, our guide breaks down costs into ranges based on the size of your living space. This approach ensures that you get a realistic estimate that reflects the specifics of your move, helping you plan your budget more effectively and with greater peace of mind. With Sherpa Moving & Storage, you’re not just moving your belongings; you’re moving with a partner who understands and adapts to your needs.

OKC Moving Pricing Guide
Pricing per size of move: All moves come with a 3-hour minimum and $200 truck/fuel fee. Our pricing ranges between $70/HR per person per hour, up to $90 per person depending on season and supply/demand. If packing is involved this will affect the estimate somewhat substantially. We also take into consideration how sensitive the overall shipment is. Some families have very old or very expensive furniture or both.
Apartments – Studio – 3BR : $500-$1,500+
We understand these types of dwellings are typically small, but they still require resources, and they usually take 3-7 hours depending on the bedrooms. Items get wrapped, disassembled/reassembled, and there are often stairs and long walks associated with apartment buildings.
House – 1,000 – 1,900 sq ft: $1100-$2200+
Houses are where the real fun is. Sometimes they’re easy, sometimes they’re not. They typically always have appliances to move, garages, patios, and people live in houses much longer than apartments on average. For movers the most important aspects of moving are the size of the home, whether there are steep driveways, stairs inside, large and plentiful patios and garages, attics, etc.
House – 2,000 – 3,000 sq ft: $2,500-$3,500+
These moves generally take 3-4 movers, 1-2 trucks and can last anywhere from 6-10 hours. They usually can be completed in one day. Everything is wrapped, taken apart, put back together, and placed in its desired location.
House – 3,000 sq ft+: $2500++
This is where you start getting into multiple movers, multiple trucks, and substantially more resources. These moves can take more than a day, especially if there is any packing or unpacking involved.
Other moving charges that are sometimes applied:
- $200 to remove fridge doors and reattach them.
- Disassembly fees apply when there are more than 3 items that need to be taken apart.
- Travel if you’re outside of the metro area.
- Multiple flights of stairs.
- Materials.
